Greetings! A mad barbarian axe is up for sale/trades - 1979 Greco FV-600 Flying V, Made in Japan. Age, scars, attitude, and the genuine natural mojo that modern relic try very hard to reply.
The finish is aged Olympic White/cream white/vintage white, пow else can it be designated?
Classic Flying V specs - mahogany body, set mahogany-style neck, rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets.
This guitar is very resonant, comfortable. It has a dry punch with a lot of mids. Perfect for old-school metal, doom, prog-rock..
The most interesting thing about these guitars is the pickups. And I already owned a same model from 80s that had MAXON SCREAMIN’80 pickups. This model, however, has regular, unnamed serial Maxon pickups, but I’ll allow myself to call them pre‑screamin’80 because they sound identical to the ones I’ve heard and tried.
This guitar was deserved an upgrade, and she got it.The original parts are included.
-Kluson vintage style tuners
-Kluson bridge with brass saddles
-Fresh fret level, crown, and polish (there is enough of meat on frets to take artificial harmonics)
Played great with no buzz across the neck. No headstock break. No neck break. No wing cracks The V still has an original electronics. Everything is working properly, so I decided not to touch the original wiring or replace parts unnecessarily.
If the buyer wants, I can install a high-quality 50s-style wiring harness for an additional cost, using quality CTS pots and proper vintage-style components.
The original logo on the truss rod cover was erased over the years, but a trace of the logo's texture remained. My wife is a professional illustrator, she manually recreated logo according a trace from original one and then ordered a custom decal with the vintage correct color according to the catalog. Original vintage gigbag is included!
This MOJO BARBARIAN AXE I would put it against any Flying V in the room.
Possibly open for trades and partial trades with cash on top for your or my side
