PAID ENTRY-LEVEL CAMERA OPERATOR / PRODUCTION ASSISTANT NEEDED
Looking for an entry-level camera operator or production assistant to help cover the World Dog Surfing Championships in Pacifica this Saturday, August 1.
Location: Linda Mar Beach, Pacifica
Approximate hours: 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Pay: $30–$50 per hour depending on experience (negotiable)
Equipment: All camera equipment will be provided
Editing: None required
This is a straightforward camera operating role. I mainly need someone who can follow basic direction, maintain good framing, monitor focus and exposure, and keep the camera rolling while we conduct interviews and host portions of the coverage.
I’ll provide a Sony a7S III and the necessary camera equipment. Experience with Sony cameras is preferred, but you do not need to be an established professional. Film students, recent graduates, production assistants, and newer videographers looking to gain more live-event experience are encouraged to apply.
You should be:
• Comfortable with basic camera operation and composition
• Reliable and able to arrive on time
• Comfortable filming outdoors on a busy beach
• Able to stand, walk, and carry camera equipment for several hours
• Able to provide your own transportation to Pacifica
No personal camera gear or editing is required.
Please reply with your name, location, availability, requested hourly rate, and a brief description of your camera experience. Please include links to any previous work, student projects, social content, or a portfolio if available.
