Hiring: Part-Time Government Contracts & Grants Consultant
We are seeking an experienced independent consultant to assist two behavioral health and recovery-focused organizations in Ventura County, California.
Our organizations include Pride House Sober Living and House of Valor Mental Health Services.
Responsibilities:
* Identify Ventura County and California government contracting opportunities.
* Review RFPs and determine organizational eligibility.
* Assist with government vendor registrations and bid submissions.
* Research grants and other funding opportunities for recovery housing and behavioral health services.
* Develop proposals, budgets, capability statements, and supporting documentation.
* Advise on grant readiness and nonprofit funding strategies.
Qualifications:
* Experience with government procurement, preferably Ventura County or California behavioral health contracts.
* Demonstrated experience writing successful proposals or grants.
* Knowledge of behavioral health, substance use recovery, supportive housing, or related services.
* Ability to work independently on a flexible, limited-hours basis.
Compensation: Negotiable, starting with a limited 90-day consulting engagement. Remote work acceptable.
