This tortoise is currently at Camarillo shelter, was found in the 1900 block Carnegie Ct. Oxnard
and after its hold, will be released to the Valley Chapter of California Turtle & Tortoise Club. If you are missing a desert tortoise and think this one might be yours, please contact the shelter, and be able to identify it as yours. Please also respond to this post and a member of the Valley Chapter adoption team can assist you to recover your tortoise.
Check your yards, as this time of year is when many tortoises escape from their yards, often because of gates and other closures left open.
