Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a commitment to patient care and a strong understanding of various caregiving practices.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
Monitor and document patients' vital signs and overall health status.
Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning.
Maintain cleanliness in the living environment, including light housekeeping tasks.
Assist clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary.
Support individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and other specialized needs.
Engage in patient observation to identify any changes in condition or behavior.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies.
Requirements
Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, assisted living, or long-term care is preferred.
Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with physical mobility tasks.
Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
