Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Wax Injection Mold Machine Operator to join our 1st-shift manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up and operate injection molding machinery to produce high-precision wax patterns used in the investment casting process. Whether you are an experienced operator looking for a stable 1st-shift schedule or a mechanically inclined individual eager to learn a specialized trade, we provide the training and resources you need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation: Set up, program, and operate wax injection machines according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Process Monitoring: Monitor and adjust machine parameters including temperature, pressure, dwell time, and injection speed.
Tooling & Preparation: Clean molds, apply release agents, insert cores, and securely clamp dies into the machinery.
Quality Control: Visually inspect finished wax patterns for defects such as air bubbles, cracks, flash, or short shots.
Documentation: Accurately record production logs, part counts, scrap rates, and complete daily preventative maintenance checklists.
Qualifications & Skills for Entry-Level Candidates:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions.
Close attention to detail and a strong willingness to learn on the job.
For Experienced Candidates: 1+ years of experience in wax injection molding or investment casting. Proven ability to troubleshoot machine parameters and process variations. Ability to read blueprints and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Physical Requirements (All Levels): Ability to stand, walk, and bend for the duration of an 8-to-10-hour shift. Manual dexterity required to handle delicate wax patterns and hand tools. The ability to lift and move materials or tooling weighing up to 45 lbs.
