This boat was custom built by my father and myself. The hull is a 1972 Ron Rawson solid fiberglass hull, this is an incredibly strong hull, the cut-out of the propeller shaft log was 2" thick at the keel and then it tapers up to about 5/8" thick at the very top edges of the gunwales, so yes it is literally bullet-proof. We built the decks and superstructure out of wood and then fiberglassed over it (unfortunately the fiberglass on the superstructure should have been a little thicker and developed some minor cracks which let water in and caused some rot in a few places in the decks but that is easily repaired).
The engine is the original 1972 Caterpillar 3160 V8 210hp naturally aspirated and it only has 832 original hours. The engine is coupled to a Twin Disc hydraulic transmission with 2:1 ratio and that to a solid 2" stainless steel shaft which turns a 24"x16"LH prop. The boat has hydraulic steering at both the upper and lower helms.
This is a USCG Documented Vessel.
This is a project boat and has been sitting in a covered drydock boat port since about 1988 (see photos).
Photo-1 is of the day the boat was originally launched April 18th, 1975.
Photo-2 is of the boat moored at my dad's dock in the early 1980's.
Photo-3 is of the boat laying at anchor in the San Juan Islands.
Photo-4 is a floor plan / sketch of the boat.
Photo-5 is a sistership of the boat and not of this boat.
Photo-6 is of Rawson original blueprints
The rest of the photos are more current and show the "project condition", etc.
The boat must be moved as soon as it is sold and will require a professional boat mover / semi-truck with hydraulic boat moving trailer. This is a project boat but it is repairable and has an extremely solid hull. This boat has a beam of 13’6” and a draft of 3’6” to 4’.
I will only respond to serious inquiries and those that include your name and phone number. And if you also include an email address then I can email you a link to a lot more photos of the boat.
Thanks for reading my ad. And yes, if the ad is still up then the boat is still available so don't waster either of our time by asking.
