I run a well-established, local carpet and surface care service here in the Ojai area. I am semi-retired myself, working just about 3 days a week, and I am looking for a reliable, local helper to join me on a casual, on-call basis. This is the perfect gig for a fellow retiree, senior, or anyone looking for an active, flexible side-hustle to bring in some extra cash without committing to a rigid 40-hour grind. What the gig looks like: - Casual, on-call work matching my 3-day weekly pace. - Assisting with high-end residential jobs as a two-man crew. - Helping set up hoses for our commercial truckmount steam system. - Assisting with the CRB (counter-rotating brush) pre-scrubber and lightweight tools. - Moving light items and managing the truck lines while on-site. - No prior carpet experience necessary—I’ve been doing this for over 20 years and am happy to show you how our system runs. Pay Structure: - Paid hourly or a flat rate per job layout (guaranteeing return for a few hours of work). - Great exercise, friendly local clients, and honest day's pay. What I’m looking for: - Must live locally in the Ojai Valley area so on-call scheduling is easy for both of us. - Reliable, detail-oriented, and physically able to handle basic crew labor (lifting hoses/wands). - Friendly demeanor around homeowners. No drugs . A must and us citizen. If you’re looking to stay busy a few mornings a week, get out of the house, and make some good pocket money, I'd love to chat
