Flowers for Fingers is a licensed landscaping and garden maintenance company run by David Logue, who grew up right here in the Ventura area. We care for gardens in Ojai, Santa Barbara, and Montecito, and we’re growing. We’re looking for reliable, hardworking people in the Ojai and Ventura area to join our crew as general laborers.
What you’ll do
Help with garden maintenance, including weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, raking, and cleanups. Load and haul green waste, soil, rock, and plants. Assist the crew on installation projects like planting new beds and irrigation repairs. Keep tools and equipment clean and in good shape. Represent the company with respect on clients’ properties.
What we’re looking for
No landscaping experience needed. We’ll teach you. If you work hard and want steady work, we want to hear from you. You show up on time and take pride in what you do. Conversational English is a must. Able to do demanding physical outdoor work, including regularly lifting and moving heavy materials like soil, rock, and large plants, often 75 lbs or more. Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
What we offer
$20 to $25 per hour, based on experience. Raises as you learn. Full time, Monday through Friday, daytime hours. Part time is possible for the right person. Paid drive time between job sites. Steady, year round work with a small, local company that treats its people well. Room to grow as we expand.
