The Triumph Trophy SE offers a rare combination: genuine long-distance touring comfort with the handling and character of a much smaller motorcycle. It is smooth, powerful, exceptionally stable on the highway and surprisingly agile when the road begins to twist.
At its heart is Triumph’s 1,215cc three-cylinder engine, known for its smooth, linear power and abundant torque. It pulls confidently in any gear without being temperamental or exhausting to ride. Add cruise control, shaft drive, traction control, linked ABS, electronically adjustable suspension and an electrically adjustable windshield, and you have a motorcycle designed to cover serious distances in comfort.
Cycle World praised the Trophy’s remarkably light steering and neutral handling, calling its steering qualities “sheer perfection.” That captures the bike well. It is large and substantial when parked, but once moving, the weight seems to disappear. It is equally at home eating up interstate miles, carrying a passenger or carving through a winding back road.
This Trophy has approximately 20,000 miles and received a major service last year, shortly before the warranty expired. Mechanically, it is very solid and rides as impressively as these motorcycles are known to ride.
It does have some cosmetic scratches, all shown honestly in the photos. They do not affect its operation or the riding experience. This is not being represented as a flawless museum piece. It doesn't have heated grips. It is a well-maintained, mechanically sound motorcycle ready to be ridden and enjoyed.
Comes with Pipewerx carbon fiber exhaust and original stock.
Triumph no longer produces the Trophy, making clean, lower-mileage examples increasingly difficult to find. For someone looking for a refined, powerful and highly capable sport-touring motorcycle without paying the price of a comparable new touring bike, this is an exceptional amount of motorcycle for the money.
