tasks you should be capable to perform well can be expected to include:
* replace metal threshold on an exterior Thermatru door
* exterior siding shake and clapboard work
* hanging and adjusting doors
* sealing/weather-stripping doors
* window glazing
* cabinet work
* custom carpentry work
* interior and exterior trim work (repair and new)
* framing soffits
* framing exterior deck and stair stringers
* building/repairing deck railings
* installing deck boards (e.g., mahogany)
* installing and adjusting existing locksets and door hardware
* installing door hinges, latch plates, etc
* building drop ceiling
* installing/repairing fencing of various materials
* paint work
* light plumbing work
* light electrical work
* light HVAC work
* sense of all-around construction skills
* tasks never before seen or performed that you need to think through
I hope to keep a good candidate busy for 2 to 3 days per week to start and may grow into more work.
the right candidate can earn up to $50 per hour.
you should have you own tools and transportation and always clean up after yourself. additionally, you should be detail oriented, honest and take pride in your work. a willingness to travel to perform work just over the bridge into the cape and out by Springfield, MA would be ideal.
