Still stuck on an old WordPress site? I will rebuild it as a fast, modern site

Your WordPress site went up years ago. Now the theme is out of date, half the plugins want updates, one of them broke the contact form, and you are scared to click "Update" in case the whole thing goes white. Maybe it has already been hacked once. Maybe it just takes five seconds to load on a phone.

Here is the offer. I move your site off WordPress and rebuild it as a modern single-page app (SPA): fast, clean, mobile-first, and with no plugin pile to patch every week. If your site is simple, I build it for free. If it needs more, I will tell you what that costs up front. Either way, the first conversation is free.

Why move off WordPress?

• Plugins are the weak spot. Most hacked WordPress sites come in through an old plugin or theme. A modern site does not carry thirty plugins from strangers.
• Speed. An SPA loads once and then moves between pages instantly. No page-builder bloat, no waiting on a slow PHP server.
• Less to babysit. No weekly "15 updates available." Fewer moving parts means fewer things break.
• Room to grow. When you want logins, bookings, payments, or a client portal later, they get built into the same site, not bolted on with another plugin.

What you actually get

1. I build it

I move your site off WordPress and rebuild it from first sketch through launch. One person, no agency handoff.

• Your content carried over: pages, blog posts, images, and your contact info. You do not retype anything.
• A fresh, modern design that works on phones, tablets, and desktops.
• Your old links kept working: old URLs redirect to the new pages, so Google rankings and links people saved do not break.
• Search-friendly: page titles, descriptions, and link previews set up so Google and social shares see real content.
• A working contact form that actually lands in your inbox.

2. I keep it running

A site is not finished at launch. I host it, watch it, back it up, and upgrade it so you can run your business instead of babysitting a website.

• Automatic backups and tested recovery
• Security patches and updates handled for you, not by you
• Changes and new features as your needs grow
• Flat monthly maintenance — no surprise invoices

3. I keep it safe

Your domain points at the new site behind Cloudflare. Malicious traffic is filtered at the edge, bots and scrapers are blocked, and the server is locked down so only Cloudflare can reach it. I am CCNA certified — I set up the network and firewall, not just the pages.

Cost

Free consultation. No hidden fees. No commitment period.

• Simple site — FREE build. A small business or personal site: up to 5 pages, content moved over, contact form, mobile-friendly design.
• Bigger site or extra features — quoted up front. Online store, bookings, member logins, client portal, payments, AI features. Modular: start small, add pieces later.
• Hosting and upkeep — optional, starting $50/month. Hosting, Cloudflare protection, backups, and updates. Or take the code and host it yourself.

Tech I build with

I write the code and I run production servers. No page builders, no rented templates.

• Frontend: Vue.js single-page app
• Backend, when you need one: Python Django + PostgreSQL
• Security and delivery: Cloudflare (firewall, bot protection) + R2 file storage / CDN
• Ops: Docker, automated backups, health monitoring

Why work with me?

I run Dodam LLC out of Oakland and have been building and maintaining web apps for small businesses and neighbors since 2023. I am a full-stack developer and CCNA, not a designer who outsources the hard parts. Face-to-face is fine. When something breaks, you call the person who built it.

Before software I spent fifteen years as a research scientist (PhD, then genomics work at UC Berkeley). I ask a lot of questions before I touch your site, and I make sure nothing gets lost in the move.
