NEW PROJECT seek DRUMS
Hey there. We are a new developing project based in OAKLAND looking for a DRUMMER.
We essentially nerd out on a wide spectrum of music to curate cover songs. Deconstruct them, mash them up with other songs or completely rework them. Our aim is to very seldomly leave a song as it is. We want to avoid the same old karaoke stuff.
We've been in cover bands and know how to pull it together. This time we want to stretch it out and do some interesting things that might lean into jazz and psychedelia. Listening, musical skills and imagination are a must.
We challenge ourselves to transform songs suggested that we might not initially find interesting and try to work them. Not every song makes it, which is okay. Refining the process is the priority for now...
We are currently GUITAR , BASS, KEYS and FEMALE LEAD VOCALS. We have rehearsal space in OAKLAND with a drum set.
Some groups who have set a structure that we are taking influence from:
Novelle Vague
Rotary Connection
Post Modern Jukebox
Pomplamoose
Booker T & The MGs
The Ventures
Vanilla Fudge
