The Nakajima 471, 441, and 411 were designed and manufactured by Nakajima, and then subsequently the company was acquired by Juki who wanted the rights to these wonderfully designed machines. The 471 is a walking foot machine with both upper and lower feed dogs, the best way to advance thick and slippery material evenly through the machine. They have proved to be the machine of choice for leather workers, webbing assemblers and all other heavy goods makers. They were produced under both the Juki and Nakajima labels, then only under the Juki label. Nakajima was also an aircraft manufacturer and used to designing and manufacturing to very high standards and the Nakajima labeled machines are second to none. This machine is in like new condition barely used in a short lived prototyping setting.
A high end speed reduction drive has been added to facilitate slower and more powerful sewing. It comes with a new servo motor, factory flat bed table, custom made rolling and locking high end wheel set, all manuals, and many new presser feet. These items alone cost $875. The Juki tsu-471 is now sold by distributors such as All Brands, one of the biggest for $9,700 . So the whole package has a retail value of $11,075 adding the $300 reducer. Just google All Brands to verify. The price its $5,800, a little more than half price. This is the best machine made, totally unlike the Chinese clone junk.
