Multi-instrumentalist seeks likeminded bands or players (oakland east)

Hi there,
I’m a multi-instrumentalist who’s into rock, punk, hardcore and lots of other stuff, including powerviolence all the way to some more melodic stuff. I’ve been on a hiatus from playing for a bit and have been laying low, but I have now managed to turn my physical health around and have gotten my energy levels back to where I feel they need to be. I’m a younger dude (almost 30 in a couple years) but really don’t care how old you are. I just want to do some interesting stuff, and I really like the idea of playing in multiple bands, including projects of my own. I’m also putting together an instrumental prog virtuosic metal band (like music from the original DooM for example) and am mainly looking for keys, drums and guitars for that, as I intend to play bass and write the compositions. However I’d say I’m better as a lyricist than I am at coming up with music itself. I can do it, but the words come faster for me. I just wanted to see if anyone interesting is out there to either connect or reconnect with. I usually only really browse, but honestly just keep seeing the same old redundant stuff on CL, and figured I’d give the thing a nudge. Don’t be shy, if I like the sound I’ll be stoked. I am looking to mainly stay local in Oakland thereabout, however am willing to do the occasional far-away show. I produce too, and have equipment necessary for making an album, including but not limited to drum mics, an interface and a Reaper license. I am really into lots of different styles, not just rock or punk, but basically just good interesting stuff. Even willing to take work as a backup or fill-in player if I really vibe with it. Lastly I strongly prefer not to be around anyone using hard drugs, but am beer and 420 friendly — I just don’t use them myself any longer though, and won’t partake personally.
