This is the real deal for someone who loves to cook. DCS built its reputation around powerful, commercial-style cooking equipment, and this range has been the centerpiece of our modern residential kitchen for years.
It has been used exclusively in a private home by a very serious home cook and has never seen restaurant or commercial-kitchen abuse. We originally chose DCS specifically because we wanted the power, heavy-duty construction and cooking experience of professional equipment in a residential kitchen.

It is currently being replaced only because we are updating the kitchen and installing a new Wolf range.
Full disclosure: When the oven gets extremely hot, the oven door can open very slightly rather than remaining completely tight against the seal. It does not swing open and the oven remains usable, but the door/seal should likely be adjusted or serviced if you want it completely tight. We want the buyer to know that upfront rather than discover it later.
Otherwise, this has been a fantastic, powerful workhorse.
These professional DCS ranges are extremely heavy and very well built, so please plan accordingly for pickup and moving.
