The Studios
All studios are private with locking doors and open ceilings (a mix of partition walls and full walls to the ceiling). There's a sink and a kitchenette in the common area.
Studio 2: Large wall good for larger pieces. Doesn’t have a direct window, but a skylight above with exhaust fan. Second floor up the stairs. Just under 120sf, $475 a month.
Studio 5: A little smaller but similar - no window but skylight and exhaust fan above. Second floor up the stairs. About 100sf, $465 a month.
The Lease
Month-to-month lease, with 1 month's rent amount for a deposit. Move-in with the first month's rent and the deposit. Utilities are free, including fast wifi.
The Building
Our space is private within a warehouse complex full of maker space, framers, and creative small businesses. There's a shared restroom downstairs at the building entrance. Free parking while using the studio with no hourly limit.
The Work
No welding, open flame, kilns, music / voice rehearsal, or (heavy) woodworking in the studios. Occasional light woodwork considered (stretcher bar building etc). No client-based work (e.g. hair styling, tattoo work, etc.) Our space is 110v. All other mediums welcome – painting, sculpture, textiles, writing, photography, video, etc. Listening to music softly is cool, but because of the open ceilings be prepared to wear headphones out of respect to neighbors.
