This was a running and driving Squareback immediately before the collision 2026 August, and I have included several pre-accident photos showing the condition of the car before it was damaged. The accident photos show its current condition.
The car still starts and runs, rolls and steers.

ACCIDENT DAMAGE:
The car sustained significant front-end collision damage. The hood, front nose/apron, bumper and surrounding front sheet metal were damaged, along with the passenger-side front lighting/turn-signal area.
I have not had the car professionally inspected for hidden or structural damage, so I am not making any claim that the front structure or suspension mounting areas are straight. Please inspect the vehicle yourself or bring someone familiar with air-cooled VWs/body restoration.
Because of the front-end damage, I am selling it as an as-is restoration/project vehicle and recommend transporting it by trailer or tow truck rather than driving it home.
This is not a stripped parts car. It is a complete, running Type 3 with a clean title, 1600 engine, 4-speed transmission, intact interior and a lot of usable original equipment.
The pre-accident photos are included specifically so buyers can see what the Squareback looked like immediately before the collision.
A good candidate for someone who knows Type 3s and has the ability to repair the front sheet metal, or for an enthusiast looking for a complete Squareback restoration project.
