This chandelier is an early 1960 MID-CENTURY MODERN model and is highly collectible (even with minor repairs). Solid turned walnut stem, tubular brass bent arms and satin/opal glass shades. One glass shade is broken BUT easily repaired with the included original exact piece included for you to repair on your own, fits perfectly (shown in photos with piece missing and piece in place (not glued). Finished with the original 3 1/2” brass chain and brass accents. The ORIGINAL “JOHN C. VIRDEN” manufacturer sticker remains attached inside the upper brass metal cap as placed when manufactured (in video). Original chain and wiring still attached and in working order. After hanging in its original home for over 30 years, the new homeowners have opted to replace with fixtures of their liking ( I know, right?, sad but true). Chandelier worked at all times while installed. Other than the broken shade that I’ve informed you about, two shades each have one very tiny chip on the bottom rim (in photo). Normal wear after 30+ years. Again, all original parts remain attached. Normally, anyone would ask $1000 for this piece but I am taking into consideration the broken shade and the normal wear. A beautiful MCM chandelier calling your name. Don’t let this one get away!
