Hi, I'm Josh. I run The Honey Do Crew, a tech help service for Nashville's senior living communities, and I'm looking for a reliable computer tech to take on visits as a subcontractor.
The work
Friendly, hands-on help for older adults who aren't comfortable with technology: computers, Wi-Fi, phones, tablets, printers, and TVs, plus small tasks like light bulbs and batteries while you're there. Patience and plain English matter as much as tech skills. Knowing how to use AI tools to troubleshoot is a bonus.
Pay and schedule
- $30–$40 per on-site hour
- Jobs are sent to you by email with the address and time window, and you choose which ones to take
- About 1–2 weekday visits a week to start, with more as we grow into new communities
- We start with a short, paid ride-along
What you'll need
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent (Google IT Support Certificate counts)
- Reliable vehicle, your own tools, and your own phone
- Your own liability insurance
- A current background check and a W-9
This is 1099 contract work, not an employee position.
To apply
Reply with your resume, name, phone number, the areas you can cover, and your certification. You can also learn more at thehoneydocrew.com/careers.
Note: This isn't a fit for anyone running a competing tech business, or for agencies that send rotating staff. I'm looking for one consistent person my clients can get to know.
