Pair of classic Yashica TL Electro X 35mm SLR film cameras from the great transitional era when Japanese manufacturers were building beautifully over-engineered mechanical cameras while simultaneously experimenting with electronic metering systems and modern ergonomics.

These cameras use the highly collectible and endlessly adaptable M42 screw mount system, opening the door to a huge ecosystem of Takumar, Carl Zeiss Jena, Yashinon, Meyer-Optik, Vivitar, Chinon, Pentax, and Soviet-era glass. A playground for photographers who enjoy actual aperture rings, real shutter sounds, and the mild emotional instability associated with vintage film photography.
The black body especially has wonderful “late Cold War photojournalist” energy.
Condition is vintage pre-owned. Cosmetic presentation is very good overall with honest signs of age and handling. Light meters, shutter accuracy, electronic functions, prism condition, and frame spacing have not been comprehensively film-tested under modern shooting conditions. Silver body includes attached Yashinon lens; glass appears generally presentable with normal age-related dust/haze possible. Both cameras should be considered candidates for inspection, fresh batteries, and likely CLA service before serious field use.
