For sale is this super sweet, made in Chicago Schwinn Bantam with many original parts including the frame, headbadge, saddle, fork, pedals, chainguard, fenders and grips. The Bantam features a removable conversion top bar, so it can be customized for boys or it can be removed to make a step-thru frame for girls. The Bantam is a counterpart to the legendary Stingray. This bike has been pretty well-kept over the years, but we are selling this bike AS-IS, which doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with it, we just have not refurbished or tuned it ourselves. Likely, some collector will want to refurbish this bike to their liking.
The serial number has been verified with online resources and it is a real (not replica) Chicago Schwinn stamped on December of 1980! The serial number is MR814452. The bike also comes with the original Owner’s Manual.
This bike would make a great addition to any collector’s stable.
