For Sale: Roadmaster Little 500 Track Bike - Breaking Away, size:56cm As-Is
This is a real Roadmaster, not one of those cheap bikes from Walmart. If you've seen the movie "Breaking Away" then you know what this is.
The frame is Reynolds 531 butted steel tube and the fork is also Reynolds steel. The bike has unique features like the "Compact Disc" chainring, seat tube gusset, and extra gusset at the chainstay/bottom bracket junction (see photos for close-up).
The tires are like new Kenda 27x1-1/4" with Schrader valves. The saddle is a Velo unit and the seatpost is 25.4 Kalin. The bike is set up as a singlespeed with a coaster brake.
The top tube measures 56.5cm center-to-center and the seat tube is 51cm c-c.
The bike is in great shape, might just need a bit of minor cleaning.
