Hand-made batik on cotton fabric from Kenya. It shows four figures dancing around a shared clay pot, drinking through long reed straws, which is a traditional communal drinking scene.
The background is a glowing yellow fading into deep purple and maroon, with black silhouettes and bold orange and white patterned details.
Details:
* About 30" × 18" (See reference picture against a ruler)
* Hand-dyed with the wax-resist batik method, so it’s one of a kind
* Unframed, with pinked edges. It’s ready to frame, hang as a tapestry, or sew into a pillow or wall panel.
In excellent condition. The colors are vivid and the fabric has no tears or stains.
It would make a great accent piece for African art lovers or for a warm, colorful wall.
