This is a vintage Gitane made in France lugged steel mixte with nice classic parts. The frame has been cleaned and polished and it looks amazing, a definite eye-catcher. It has been freshened up with new cables and housing, a vintage Ideale leather saddle and brand New Panracer Gravelking Semi Slick 700x28c tires. Check out the head tube sticker.

With a 53 cm effective top tube and 55 cm seat tube (center-to-top), this bike should fit most riders in the 5'6" to 5'9" range, with longer legs and a shorter torso.

This bike is equipped with Suntour Vx front derailleur, Suntour Arx rear derailleur, vintage Sugino Mighty cranks, Shimano 7-speed freewheel, Mafac “Racer” vintage cantilever brakes, Tektro brake levers, Sunrace thumb shifters (new), new grips, riser bar and the aforementioned new Panaracer Gravelking Semi Slick tires. This bike has a 2x7 (14-speed) drivetrain set up.

This classic French Gitane is in overall Very Good to Excellent used refurbished condition and looks great for an item of this vintage. Mechanically, the bike is tuned and ready to ride.
