This Centurion Le Mans 12 is a vintage steel road bike with a Champion No. 5 steel tubeset from Tange Industries (made in Japan). The bike has a mix of original and new parts. Don’t forget to check out the original head badge! The finish has a bit of patina here and the entire frame and fork have been cleaned and polished and the looks great overall. Our very own Cap’n Jonny took this bike down to a bare frame and fork and meticulously rebuilt the entire bike and serviced all bearings with new grease and installed new cables and housing. The saddle is a new comfort model (Selle Royal Lookin) and this would make a great around-town leisure rider with some true retro vintage cred.
This bike is a true classic that just oozes with vintage driz.
The bike has been re-fitted with new 27x1-¼ tires like most bikes of this era. The bike also has new SunRace thumb shifters, new grips, new brake levers, Suntour Cyclone II front derailleur, Suntour ARX rear derailleur, Sugino cranks, Dia-Compe AC 500 brakes with new Jagwire brake pads.
This bike is completely rideable for someone who understands the limitations of an over 40-year-old classic.
Even with the Mixte style frame, this bike sizes like a Medium/Large and should fit riders in the 5'6" to 5'9" range.
