This is a very nice and rare vintage Bianchi Record steel road bike that was made-in-Italy. It features a steel frame, cromoly fork, Campagnolo (mostly) 2x6 drivetrain and Campagnolo hubs. We have just installed NEW Panaracer Pasela 700x28c tires. The bike was fully refurbished by our very own Cap’n Jonny and he cleaned, inspected, greased and polished the frame and fork. The bike has new cables and housing all around and has some tasty bits. The bar wrap and Sure-stop brake pads are also brand new. Check the original head badge and vintage bottle cage!
With a 56cm effective top tube and a 56cm seat tube (c-c), this bike should fit most riders in the 5'8" to 5'11" range. The standover measurement is 32.25".
This bike is equipped with Campagnolo cranks and rings, Campy Record front derailleur, Shimano Crane GS rear derailleur, Campy downtube shifters, Universal Super 68 side-pull brakes, GB drop bar, Pivo quill stem, Brooks B17 leather saddle, Campy hubs and the aforementioned new Panaracer tires. Even the pedals are Campy!
The drivetrain is a 2x6 configuration. The serial number is stamped on the seat tube and reads “74546” (see photo).
This bike is in overall Very Good condition for a bike of this vintage. There are some cosmetic scuffs, scratches and scrapes (called “patina”), but these do not affect the function of the bike (see photos). Mechanically, the bike is fully tuned and ready to ride.
