Own a piece of cargo bike history.
This is an original Xtracycle FreeRadical, the longtail cargo bike conversion that helped launch the modern cargo bike movement. Before purpose-built cargo bikes became common, Xtracycle's FreeRadical let riders transform a standard mountain bike into a capable cargo hauler. These early kits have developed a loyal following and are becoming increasingly difficult to find complete.
This setup is built on a Black Diamond Trail Light mountain bike and includes many of the original Xtracycle accessories that are often missing.

Condition
The bike has been stored under cover in my carport for the past year and has not been ridden during that time. It was functional when parked, but I recommend a tune-up and safety inspection before regular riding. Expect to check the brakes, shifting, chain, cables, and tires.
The wooden FlightDeck shows cosmetic weathering from age but remains solid and could easily be refinished if desired.
Why this bike?

Complete FreeRadical setups with the original accessories have become increasingly scarce and are sought after by Xtracycle enthusiasts, collectors, and riders who appreciate the simplicity and versatility of the original design.
