I am looking for a trustworthy, organized, and detail-oriented person to help me sort through and pack about 20 old boxes of personal belongings located in Mt. Clemens, MI.I live in California and cannot travel to Michigan myself. The boxes have been sitting for about seven years, so they will need to be inspected and replaced. The goal of this job is to edit down the contents—getting rid of what I don't need—so I only end up shipping back around 15 boxes.
Tasks include:
**Supplies: Purchasing new heavy-duty cardboard boxes, packing tape, and markers (I will pay for these 100% upfront or reimburse you immediately).
**Inventory via Video: Opening the 20 existing boxes and doing a live video call (FaceTime, Zoom, or WhatsApp) with me so I can see the contents.
**Sorting & Downsizing: Based on our video call, separating items into "keep/ship" and "discard/donate" piles to reduce the total volume.
**Repacking: Safely packing the remaining "keep" items into the new boxes so they are ready for shipping.
**Disposal: Throwing away the discard pile or dropping off the unwanted items at a local donation center (costs for trash bags or donation drop-off time will be paid hourly).
Schedule & Timeline: 4 hours minimum per day.
Highly flexible schedule (can be every other day).No extreme rush, but I want to get it done as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Requirements:Must have a smartphone with a good camera and a reliable internet connection for video calling.
**Must have your own reliable transportation to get to the location and purchase supplies.
**Great communication skills, patience, and absolute trustworthiness.
Note: The boxes are located at my ex-boyfriend's house. He is aware of this project, but I expect total professionalism and a drama-free interaction.
Compensation: Hourly rate. Please reply with your desired hourly rate for this project.
