Position Summary

The Sanitation Associate is responsible for ensuring sanitation processes are completed in compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production lines in LIP1, LIP2, and LINP.
• Perform cleaning tasks according to the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Cover electrical panels and outlets before wash-down procedures.
• Protect active production lines from overspray and cross-contamination.
• Clean and sanitize production areas using department-specific procedures.
• Disassemble machinery parts for cleaning and reassemble once sanitized.
• Maintain and clean internal drains.
• Maintain cleanliness of waste receptacles, carts, pallets, and other equipment.
• Maintain parts cleaning rooms and sanitation supplies.
• Clean non-production areas as scheduled.
• Operate assigned equipment including motorized pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and forklifts.
• Rotate among sanitation assignments to learn all cleaning procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Safety Requirements

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety requirements.
• Perform Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures before servicing equipment.
• Maintain certifications for Lock-Out/Tag-Out and Chemical Handling.
• May become certified to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and scissor lifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
• 1-3 years of sanitation experience preferred.
• Ability to train and mentor other sanitation associates.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude and commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work additional hours when needed.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Physical Requirements

• Regular standing, walking, and movement throughout the facility.
• Ability to lift 10-50 pounds safely.
• Ability to operate powered equipment.
• Full range of motion in arms, hands, and legs.
• Comfort working in cool, wet, and damp environments.

Compensation

Rich's offers a starting wage of $20.60 per hour plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential for this overnight position. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and other non-discriminatory factors.
