Beautifully Cared For 2004 Strunal Model 3/10 Viola w/Case, Bow and Dresden Bridge. Serial Number 04091460. Size 36/14 - 14" body. Made in Luby, Czech Republic (formerly known as Cremona).
Because this viola is from 2004, the tonewoods (the spruce top and maple back/sides) have had over two decades to dry out and mature. Well-cared-for student instruments of this age often develop a slightly warmer, more open tone than a brand-new model off the shelf
This a a European-crafted viola for the serious student.The Strunal 3/10 Series viola offers a European-crafted instrument with a solid spruce top, maple sides and back with inlaid purfling. Ideal for the beginning or advancing player, this hand-crafted viola also includes ebony trim, four string adjusters, and chinrest. The Strunal 3/10 viola has a highly polished finish and includes a thermoplastic molded case and horsehair bow.
Strunal is the largest string instruments manufacturing facility in Europe with long tradition that started with established master craftsmen in the second half of the sixteenth century.
