The Monkees is the debut studio album by the American band the Monkees. It was released on October 10, 1966, by Colgems Records in the United States and RCA Victor in the rest of the world.

This high-fidelity mono LP features original cover art in a 12" cardboard sleeve (the sleeve still has most of the original plastic on it). A mix of pop and rock songs that capture the essence of the 1960s.

This was the first of four consecutive U.S. No. 1 albums for the group, taking the top spot on the Billboard 200 for 13 weeks, after which it was displaced by the band's second album.

I do not have a way to test to see if there are any scratches that might make the songs “skip.” If it’s not in working condition, it would make a great display piece.
