Document Control | Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm | $30.00-$35.00/hour
Responsible for managing and maintaining documentation associated with customer returns, quality requirements, and production processes. A primary focus of this role will be the creation, release, authorization, and validation of Return Material Authorizations and the creation and release of Travelers. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to review and understand customer-specific requirements, including quality clauses, terms and conditions, specifications, processes, and other contractual or quality documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the RMA process from beginning to end, including documentation, authorization, validation, tracking, and closure.
• Create and release RMAs in accordance with internal procedures and customer requirements.
• Review RMA requests for completeness, accuracy, and appropriate authorization.
• Verify that supporting documentation is available and properly associated with the RMA.
• Coordinate with Quality, Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, and other departments as necessary to facilitate RMA processing.
• Track RMA status and follow up on outstanding actions or required approvals.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure RMA documentation is properly filed and retained.
• Create and release Travelers based on applicable customer, quality, engineering, and production requirements.
• Ensure Travelers contain the appropriate information, instructions, revisions, and required approvals prior to release.
• Review Travelers for accuracy and completeness before distribution to Production.
• Coordinate revisions and updates to Travelers when customer or internal requirements change.
• Maintain document control and ensure current revisions are being used.
• Assist with identifying and correcting documentation discrepancies.
• Review new customer requirements and supporting documentation to understand applicable requirements before documentation is released.
• Read and interpret customer quality clauses, terms and conditions, specifications, purchase order requirements, and applicable processes.
• Identify customer-specific requirements that may affect RMAs, Travelers, inspections, documentation, or production activities.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure customer requirements are properly incorporated into controlled documentation.
• Bring unclear, conflicting, or incomplete requirements to the appropriate Quality or management personnel for clarification.
• Maintain awareness of customer-specific documentation requirements and changes.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in document control, quality assurance, production control, or an administrative role within a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with RMAs, Travelers work instructions, routers, or other controlled documents
