B-E-W-A-R-E: Event monitors ad (probable scammer)

Here's what happened:
An effort was made to set up an appointment to buy this guy's monitors.
After some email correspondence we agreed on a day & time.
His ad offers to deliver within 30min, which was perfect bc I'm over 45min away!
After asking I received a "No".
Instead, he insisted on a grocery store parking lot in W Allis.
That became suspicion #1
Fine. Let's meet there then.
"Since I'm a 2h RT distance away, could I at least have your number?"
"No."
Suspicion #2
[Ok I'm willing to risk being stood up...]
"Is there an outlet that we can plug them into, to see them turn on?"
"I don't think Rupena's has an outlet, but trust me they work".
Then I proposed McDs 5 min away, which has modern commercial grade outlets.
(Manager said it was cool; just buy a Big Mac, ok? Of course! I'll buy two.)
Suspicion #3: "I'm not going to plug my monitors into any shoddy outlets."
[Ok so I'm going to drive there and back, w no number, and no possibility to try before you buy??]
Tried to pursuade him otherwise but he was immutable.
Last thing I heard from this guy before he stopped replying to my emails was, "I'm not in a hurry to sell."

What do you think? Is Mr. Unmotivated Seller just a timewaster?
