This antique Victorian lamp from Hicks & Son, manufactured in 1884, features a brass base with an 7 inch diameter fitter holding a white milk glass shade and has a clear chimney. The lamp stands at a total height of 18 inches with an 11-inch lamp body, and has a 4.5-inch diameter cut glass ball in the center. This original pair of table/nightstand lamps can be reverted to their original oil source and are wired with 1960s technology, making them a unique and valuable collectible for those interested in lighting and vintage decor.
The base of 1 lamp has a small dent at the base of the stem( in photos).
Original globes are 5.1/4 inches tall with a 7 inch bottom rim and a 4 inch diameter top. (ONE GLOBE HAS A FLEA BITE ON THE TOP RIM in PHOTOS and the other has a small chip on the bottom of the shade.
1960s wiring, probably need re wired, and when unscrewing light bulb you have to UNPLUG CORD & hold the socket in 1 lamp(In photos)
The lamps have a beautiful brass patina. Has not been cleaned with copper cleaner.
The pair of lamps are rare and beautiful.
