Heavy duty rental trailer frame rebuilt from the frame up as a lightweight (400-600lbs) camper for towing behind my Prius hybrid (110 hp). Interior is Burmese teak with a 3/4" thick bamboo floor. The top pivots up and a canvas tent attaches with snaps and twist fittings. There is a crank-up lift on the front and two adjustable leveler pads on the back. Once setup you can walk around inside without risk of tipping. The camper can be used without the tent: just close the door, lower the tilt top and the unit is secure for the night (lowering the top locks the door). Two marine side windows allow light and, when open, ventilation. Fitted with one 7' long bed and a 6' long floor space for a sleeping pad. The front has cubby holes for storing personal items and there is a small cabinet for pots, pans and dishes. The rear has a small marble kitchenette with a 12"x6" sink and an area large enough for carrying a standard two burner propane stove. The 15" truck tires and leaf springs make towing easy and smooth, (not too much bouncing) with my Prius where I installed a class-C bolt-on hitch and a trailer wiring conversion kit. The trailer is solid, strong, comfortable and carries a surprising amount of fishing, camping and hiking gear. I put mine in storage containers and then just pull them out and put them under the trailer or in the back of the car at night.The tilt top could easily be fitted with a bolt-on bike rack.
