We sell automation services to small businesses (1 to 5M in annual revs per year). Deal size is $5,000–$6,500. You make $1,000 on every one, plus half of anything you sell above list, plus a piece of the recurring revenue for the first year.
WHY OUR REPS ARE WINNING NOW
They stopped selling to "small businesses" and picked a lane. Once you know what an HVAC owner actually worries about, every call gets shorter and the referrals start on their own. Same playbook transfers to plumbing, electrical, roofing — pick your vertical and own it.
2 WAYS TO SELL....AND YOU CAN DO BOTH
1. Direct — find the owner, get in front of him, close it.
2. Through partners — the people these contractors already trust. One good partner relationship can outproduce a month of dialing.
THE COMP - SPECIFICALLY
$1,000 per closed deal — $500 at deposit, $500 at delivery
50% of anything above list price
5% of collected recurring revenue, first 12 months
Commission-only. No base, no draw, no cap.
STRAIGHT ABOUT THE JOB
There's a 2–3 week build between the signature and delivery. You'll manage that wait, not disappear into the next call.
Commission is clawed back if a customer cancels in the first 90 days. That's deliberate — it keeps everyone selling to people who should actually buy.
This is early. I'm the whole company right now, and I'm looking for the person who helps make it not that. If you're the one who can do this, there's room to build and run a team and take a piece of what they produce. I'd rather say that plainly than dangle it.
YOU'RE A FIT IF
You've closed $5k deals and can tell me the number you did last year
You can run the whole cycle — find it, work it, close it
You'd rather go deep in one industry than shallow across ten
Commission-only doesn't scare you because you've done it
YOU'RE NOT IF
You need leads handed to you
You need income while you learn
TO APPLY:
- One paragraph, no resume: what you sold, who you sold it to, and your biggest closed deal.
- Then tell me which trade you'd pick and why.
