This is a very low-budget independent project, and this is currently an unpaid/non-paid acting role. I'm making the pilot independently and working with limited resources. Because this is a passion project rather than a paid production, I'm specifically looking for someone who is genuinely interested in the concept, wants footage/experience for their reel, and enjoys working on independent comedy.
The goal is to create something that feels like an actual television pilot rather than a typical short skit or social-media video.
I’m looking for a male actor, approximately mid to late twenties, to play the lead character in an independently produced mockumentary-style sitcom pilot set primarily in a gym. The main character is a young fitness-focused guy with a very strong personality and a lot of confidence. He has a particular comedic personality and character arc that I’d rather explain in more detail privately.
The series has a dry, awkward, character-driven comedy style with a very grounded “documentary crew following these people around” feel. Think uncomfortable gym interactions, deadpan humor, and a character who takes himself way more seriously than everyone around him does.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
* Male actor, mid to late twenties
* Comfortable with comedy and dry/deadpan delivery
* Strong facial expressions and comedic timing
* Comfortable playing an intentionally obnoxious, self-important character
* Improvisation skills are a plus
* Gym/fitness experience is a plus but not a requirement
* Must be comfortable being filmed in a gym setting
* Miami area preferred
