A Carpenter is responsible for performing various construction, installation, repair, and maintenance tasks on residential, commercial, and industrial job sites. The position requires knowledge of basic and advanced carpentry techniques, the ability to read measurements and blueprints, and experience using hand and power tools to complete projects safely and efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Construct, install, repair, and maintain wooden structures, frameworks, walls, floors, ceilings, and other building components.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction plans.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, drywall, and other construction materials.
Install doors, windows, cabinets, shelving, framing, and trim.
Operate hand tools and power tools, including saws, drills, nail guns, and measuring equipment.
Assist with building layouts, framing, and general construction activities.
Perform repairs, adjustments, and finishing work as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all job site safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
