Applicants must be comfortable driving between multiple client locations during their scheduled hours. We are primarily looking for someone with consistent Monday–Friday availability from approximately 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The ideal candidate will live within Waukesha County so they can efficiently service clients throughout the Lake Country area.
This position is ideal for someone who loves dogs, enjoys being active outdoors, and is looking for consistent, rewarding daytime work. Services may include solo walks, group walks, hikes, drop-in visits, and Adventure Daycare outings.
Responsibilities:
• Travel to clients throughout Lake Country and surrounding areas of Waukesha County
• Safely walk and care for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and energy levels
• Follow each pet’s care instructions and established routine
• Safely transport dogs when required
• Communicate professionally with clients and the Tails N’ Trails team
• Provide timely updates and photos following each service
• Maintain dependable and consistent weekday availability
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Requirements:
• Must live in Waukesha County
• Must be consistently available Monday through Friday from approximately 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Must be willing to drive throughout Lake Country and surrounding Waukesha County communities
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Smartphone with dependable service
• Comfortable handling multiple dogs when appropriately matched
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Dependable, responsible, and attentive to detail
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Professional or substantial personal experience caring for and handling dogs
Experience in dog walking, pet sitting, dog training, veterinary care, rescue work, or another animal-care setting is preferred.
