Up for sale is a vintage RIDGID Model 400 Pipe Threading Machine power drive, manufactured by The Ridge Tool Co. of Elyria, Ohio. This is the classic RIDGID 400 Power Drive design, introduced in 1948 — the machine that revolutionized on-site pipe threading by using an electric motor and geared scroll chuck to spin the pipe while hand tools cut, reamed, and threaded it.
This unit has been tested and is working. It shows honest wear consistent with age and shop use: surface rust and oxidation on the cast housing, a hand-scratched "RIDGID 400" marking on the top cover, some pitting and minor chipping to the casting edges, and cords showing wear from age (see photos for full detail). The original data tag is present and legible for motor ratings and serial number.
Local pickup only — due to the weight and size of this cast-iron machine, this item is not available for shipping. Buyer must arrange pickup after purchase.
Sold as-is. Please review all photos carefully and ask any questions before bidding/buying.
