NACTEC Hydraulic Backstay Tensioner and CV Remote Control Panel
This system was removed from a 44' Custom Frers Ocean Racer .
The boat was unfortunately not repairable with a VERY rotted balsa cored hull.
Removed in WORKING CONDITION several weeks ago.
It was holding pressure for sure because the rotted balsa cored hull was SO ROTTED that the transom was separating from it from the tension.
This hydraulic Navtech backstay adjuster and remote panel is in good working condition.
Showed no leaks and was holding pressure when removed.
I released pressure and then re-pressured the backstay.
I didn't check the pressure gauge itself.
The reservoir tank is broken, it's repairable.
Looks like a unit built with PVC tubing.
Very simple to replicate from Home Depot supplies.
The Cylinder model number reads 25-17.
The serial number area is 12-87.
The hydraulic hose has been cut, easy to replace.
Includes the thru deck hose fitting.
(New price $1500, used average $400-600)
The CV Remote Control Panel released and pumped up the cylinder and operated properly.
(New price is $4500, the average is $1200-2500)
Navtec is TOP SHELF Sailing equipment.
Completely rebuildable with parts and service available.
