We are a cozy wine bar and restaurant located in Margaretville NY. We are a non-corporate, owner operated small business, so everyone is asked to chip in with hosting, cleaning, and serving. Our servers make between $50 -70 on average per hour and even more during the busy season (summer). We are looking for a part time server with wine knowledge and a positive outgoing attitude. Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee all front-of-house operations including:Bartending and serving the dining area
Hiring support staff & schedules (we will help with hiring and training)
Reservations
Quality control
Closing / opening procedures
Manage and track inventorySend (bi-weekly) update so we can place orders
Audit inventory vs sales (monthly)
Analyze customer feedback and identify opportunities for improvement
Requirements:
Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar role
Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
Strong sales skills to upsell drinks and promote specials
Excellent time management skills to ensure prompt service to customers
Knowledge of the food industry, including wines
