This scale may have been used in a general store or farmers' market to weigh items sold by the pound. It reads from 0 – 50 pounds, and it still works! Solid metal construction. One side is brass; the other side is painted black. Imprinted into the metal it reads: “FRARY'S IMPROVED SPRING BALANCE. WARRANTED.” It's well over 100 years old. Very good condition.
