We are an artisan Turkish bakery looking for a full-time kitchen assistant to work directly with our head artisan chef.
This role is ideal for someone with kitchen or bakery experience or someone motivated to learn a traditional craft from scratch.
Schedule
* Full-time
* 6 days per week
* Tuesday – Sunday
* Monday OFF
* 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
* 1-hour break included
Compensation & Benefits
* Starting at $15/hour for candidates without prior experience
* Higher pay available based on relevant kitchen or bakery experience
* W-2 employee
* Paid U.S. national holidays
* 5 days PTO after first year
* Stable, long-term position
Responsibilities
* Assist artisan chef with dough and pastry preparation (baklava, börek, traditional pastries)
* Prep work, shaping, and kitchen support
* Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
* Work efficiently in a small, focused team
Requirements
* Kitchen or bakery experience OR strong willingness to learn
* Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
* Comfortable working early mornings
* Spanish or English (bilingual is a plus)
* Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to work as a W-2 employee
