Here's a trusty little try-hard based around the Intel Pentium D 945, Intel D975XBX2 "Bad Axe 2", and an NVidia Quadro FX 4600, all stuffed into one of my favorite retro cases, the unmistakable Antec 4482 in silver/black. I built this rig as an early Windows XP system, good through most DX9 games, but sadly haven't used it as much as I imagined I would. The EVGA power supply is relatively low hours and the CPU fan is brand new. As you can tell from the pictures, it's a showcase for period-correct cable management. I will include a screenshot of benchmarks and Device Manager--the scores aren't as awesome as my most awesome WinXP computers, but they're sufficient and battle-tested. You can find details for the hardware specs in the asset label I'll paste into the bottom of this ad.
I can throw in a spare keyboard, mouse, power, and DVI cables for free IF you are in dire need of any--just ask. For an added "convenience fee," I do also have some monitors that this thingy would pair well with, so let me know if you are interested; they range from the junkiest junker to stuff with an IPS panel at 20" and beyond. Otherwise, this ad is just for the PC.
It's available for showings from 5:30 PM to 8 PM Monday through Friday, or 11 AM to 8 PM on most Saturdays and Sundays; we'll communicate through CL email to find an agreeable date/time. If you don't care to see the computer running before buying it, or don't feel comfortable coming to my house, we can meet at the Madison Police Department's station on Mineral Point Road. On the other hand, if you want to see the computer running first, you can come to my house and we'll run some benchmarks in my kitchen where it's currently setup.
