New to the market is this highly collectible and very rare All Original 1923 Made by C.F.Martin Oliver Ditson Model A Empire Series 8 String Flatback Mandolin serial numbers 11235 being sold with No Case but looking for one.
Yes it’s made by Martin and a good solid mandolin it needs new strings but the on it generates a nice warm tone with new strings it will sing like it should.
This instrument had 3 cracks and one chip fixed right below the sound hole and it has a few dings and imperfections but it does have a nice patina all as seen, it needs two brass fret wires reset lifted slightly at the twelfth fret, otherwise it’s a great mandolin and a real collectible in, that needs very little to make it great working there are not many of these old instruments around especially if the play and tune, and she ain’t no wall hanger it’s a player it would take to much to make it stage ready because they are known for the warm tone for traditional Irish music so if you’re interested in a real beauty please contact Kevin to arrange pick up.
