Well established mid-sized Workers' Compensation Applicant Law Firm located in west LA is seeking an experienced full time Paralegal for immediate hire. • Experience in a Worker's Comp Applicant Law Practice is preferred
• Experience in Merus is a plus
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is not required but is a plus
• Strong legal writing and research skills, and a strong work ethic
• Exceptional attention to details, excellent communication and organizational skills are required
• Assist with the drafting and review of legal documents
• Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes & conduct research to support legal proceedings
• Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field
• Familiarity with legal research
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs
• Conduct research to support legal proceedings
• Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
• Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
• Strong research and investigative skills for conducting legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and articles
• Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines
