A Premier Mobile Ultrasound Company is seeking an experienced Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVT or RVS) with advanced expertise in venous insufficiency imaging and physician-assisted venous ablation procedures. Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive lower extremity venous reflux studies and venous mapping.
Assist physicians during office-based venous ablation procedures, including:
Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA/EVLT)
Foam sclerotherapy (preferred)
Provide real-time ultrasound guidance for:
Venous access
Guidewire and catheter positioning
Tumescent anesthesia placement
Confirmation of treatment location
Immediate post-procedure assessment
Perform post-ablation duplex ultrasound examinations.
Evaluate for DVT and Endothermal Heat-Induced Thrombosis (EHIT).
Produce high-quality diagnostic images and accurate documentation.
Maintain excellent communication with physicians, nurses, and office staff.
Travel to physician offices and outpatient vein clinics throughout Southern California.
Qualifications
Required:
Current RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) credential
Minimum of 5 years of vascular ultrasound experience
Extensive experience performing lower extremity venous reflux examinations
Extensive experience assisting physicians during venous ablation procedures
Strong knowledge of venous anatomy and venous insufficiency
Excellent patient care and communication skills
Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred:
Experience with VNUS ClosureFast, Medtronic, AngioDynamics, or similar RFA systems
Experience with EVLT procedures
Experience with ambulatory vein centers or vascular surgery practices
Knowledge of EHIT classification and post-ablation surveillance protocols
Experience using GE Vivid, Philips, or comparable vascular ultrasound systems
