Our West Adams flower shop is in need of a delivery driver on an on-call/as-needed basis. This is a great option for someone who is already doing gig work and needs a little supplement of a few hundred dollars per month. We typically need the most help on Mondays and Saturdays, but assistance throughout the week is likely as well.
How It Works
This is for a supplemental delivery driver to help when our volume of deliveries is too much for our regular drivers to handle. We'll reach out to you in the morning to ask if you're available and provide a rough estimate of how many outgoing deliveries are available as well as what time you'll need to arrive. You will use your own car. Routes are generally adjustable based on your preferences. On an average day, I will text you at 9:30 to let you know we have ten deliveries and ask if you can come in at 11 to pick up. We may also need help in the afternoon (between 2 and 3 p.m.) and evening (5 p.m.)
Delivery Range
We are based in West Adams and deliver throughout the city of LA, as well as Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Culver City, Santa Monica, and the SFV. Our studio is very close to the 10 freeway.
Payment Structure
Each delivery pays $14, with some extended zip codes (Burbank, Pasadena, Malibu, etc.) worth $20. Payment for the previous is sent each Monday via direct deposit and usually lands in your account by Wednesday. This is a contract job and you will need to fill out an IRS W9 form before starting.
Other Important Info
Drivers should have a working knowledge of English and refrain from smoking (tobacco or otherwise) in the car with the flowers. You may occasionally have to contact a recipient to gain access to a residence or business, so professional demeanor on the phone is important. Most of our orders are stabilized in boxes to keep them protected during transport.
